REGISTRATION

1. When does registration open?
   Registration is open from 27 July to 30 August 2023, with our early bird window ending on 20 August 2023.

3. What is the prerequisite for joining WILDERNESS?
   Interns are to meet a minimum entry age of 18 years old and above, a satisfactory pastoral recommendation from his/her pastor/local church, and possess a good working knowledge of the English language.

4. I have filled up and submitted the application form. What’s next?
   Great! We would need you to do the following next steps to complete the registration process:
   1. Have you pastor/spiritual leader fill up a reference form.
   You can access the form through this link. You should also have received the link via your email so check your inbox.
   2. Make a payment of a non-refundable SGD50 registration fee.
   Once payment has been made, do take a screenshot of the transfer made and email it to hello@burninghearts.sg.
   
   If you have fulfilled these three steps, you may wait for the team’s confirmation of your acceptance via email within 1-2 weeks.
   
   As part of the process, our team might also make reference calls to your nominated pastor/leader, and arrange for a video call with the applicant.

5. Is everyone guaranteed a place in WILDERNESS?
   Places in WILDERNESS are limited, and successful applicants will be notified of their acceptance via email.

6. Why do I need a pastoral recommendation to apply for WILDERNESS?
   The pastoral recommendation is for us to get to know you better. If you are not currently attending a church, you can have a spiritual leader/mentor fill it up as well.

7. How will I know if I have been accepted into WILDERNESS?
   We will confirm your acceptance into WILDERNESS via email within 1-2 weeks of receiving your completed application.

INTERN MATTERS

1. Where will WILDERNESS be held, and for how long?
   WILDERNESS will be held at Burning Hearts, 66 Kampong Bugis, Level 3, Singapore 338987 for 21 days from 10-30 September 2023.

2. Are meals, transport, and housing provided for interns?
   Meals, transport, and housing will not be provided for. We estimate an average spend of SGD500 for food and transport around throughout the duration of the internship.

3. Will we receive any accreditation from WILDERNESS?
   No, as WILDERNESS is not an accredited course.

4. Is WILDERNESS currently affiliated to any seminaries, churches or Christian organisations?
   WILDERNESS is an internship run by Burning Hearts. It is not affiliated to any seminaries, ministry schools, or churches.

PROGRAMME

1. Will you offer online sessions in case I cannot be there physically?
   Sessions will not be offered online as they will be held physically at our prayer room. This is due to the practical and immersive nature of the internship.

2. I might have to miss one or two sessions or days of the internship. Will it still be okay for me to be part of the internship?
   As WILDERNESS is a full time internship, interns are required to attend every session on the schedule. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.

3. English is not my native language. Will translation be available during the internship?
   The internship and its classes will be run in English only. Translation will not be available.

4. I attend a local church in Singapore. Will the schedule affect my attendance at church?
   We want to honour the local church and we encourage our interns to attend their church services on Sunday. Hence, we will not run any sessions on Sundays apart from our orientation session which falls on a later Sunday afternoon.

OVERSEAS APPLICATIONS

1. Am I allowed to attend WILDERNESS if I am not residing in Singapore?
   Yes! International applicants are warmly welcome to attend WILDERNESS.

2. Are there flight and housing arrangements for overseas applicants?
   You will need to purchase your flight tickets and find your own accommodation for your duration here. However, we will be happy to connect you to partners who offer housing arrangements.

PAYMENT

1. How much is the registration fee?
   The registration fee is SGD50 and is non-refundable.

2. How much does it cost to attend WILDERNESS?
   The internship fee is SGD600. Applicants who register by 20 August 2023 will pay the early bird fee of SGD480.
   
   Do note that the internship fees do not include the SGD50 registration fee.

3. How can I make payment?
   Simply do so via the following payment channels:

   Remember to indicate your name (as written in your application form) in the reference section when making payment.

4. I registered for WILDERNESS within the early bird window but only received acceptance after. Do I still get to enjoy early bird rates?
   Yes! You will still get to enjoy the early bird rate of SGD480 as long as your application was completed before 13 August. This would include a submitted pastoral application and paid registration fee.

5. My church is open to sponsoring me for WILDERNESS. How do I go about with this process?
   Simply get us in touch with your church finance office, and we can take it from there. You may email their details to hello@burninghearts.sg. Do note that this applies for applicants that have already received an acceptance email from our team.

6. I would like to pay for someone else’s internship. How do I go about with this process?
   Simply do so via the following payment channels:
   1. Bank Transfer:

   Remember to indicate the intern’s name in the reference section when making payment.

7. When is full payment due?
   Full payment is due before the commencement of WILDERNESS.

8. If I get accepted and have paid for WILDERNESS but decide not to attend after all, do I get a refund?
   Please contact us at hello@burninghearts.sg if you need to withdraw.

VISITORS

1. Can I attend a singular session even if I have not signed up for the internship?
   Certain evening sessions will be open to members of the public! Do stay tuned on our social media platforms for announcements of these sessions.
